Steps to work InStock Notification on Store Frontend

1. Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Dashboard >> How to Use


2. Step-1: Download necessary files. Watch Video Guide Here.
   • Click on the Download button and download the zip file.
   • Then Connect to your store WebDAV server. You can check it here. Now open Content folder in WebDAV.
   • Copy and paste the downloaded zip file in the Content folder and extract it. You will see instock folder in your Content folder.
3. Step-2: Now, Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Dashboard >> How to Use >> Step-2 Watch Video Guide Here.
   • Now, Please check inStock_application Script created in Your Script Manager. For it, Go to Admin >> Storefront >> Script Manager. If you did not find any script named inStock_application Script or you deleted it by mistake, then Click on Re-install Scripts button. It will re-install InStock Notification Application Script in your store. And if you found script then skip this step.

     

4. Step-3: Now, Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Dashboard >> How to Use >> Step-3 Watch Video Guide Here.
   • Click on Copy to Clipboard to get the shortcode of Notify Me button for Product listing.

   

   • Now, from your Bigcommerce admin, click on Storefront >> My Themes and Select Advanced in your Current Active Theme. Click on Edit theme files.(** if Edit theme files option is not shown in dropdown then you have to copy the original theme and then apply new copied theme to store. After applying new theme, you will able to see Edit theme files option)(** if Edit theme files option is not working then you can also go to Customize and then scroll down and click on Edit theme files).

   

   • Go to Edit Theme Files >> templates >> components >> products >> card.html
   • Paste the copied shortcode where you want show "Notify Button" on category page or any product listing.

   

   • If you have "CORNERSTONE" theme then we recommended to follow below steps:

     

     1. Search "figcaption" tag in card.html.
     2. Go to end of this tag "</figcaption>".
     3. Above the closing tag of "figcaption", you will find closing div (</div>).
     4. Paste the copied code above it.

   Note: You need to select Show stock levels or Only show stock levels when stock is low in Stock level display to display Notify Me button in Product Listing. To do it, Go to BigCommerce admin >> Advanced Settings >> Inventory >> Stock Level

   

5. Step-4: Again Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Dashboard >> How to Use >> Step-4 Watch Video Guide Here.
   • Click on Copy to Clipboard to get the shortcode of Subscribe button for Product detail page.

   

   • Go to Edit Theme Files >> templates >> components >> products >> product-view.html and paste the copied shortcode where you want to show "SUBSCRIBE FORM BUTTON" on product detail page.

   

   • If you have "CORNERSTONE" theme then we recommended to follow below steps:

     

     1. Search "form" tag in product-view.html.
     2. Go to end of this tag "</form>".
     3. Above the closing tag of "form" (</form>), Paste the copied code.

6. After Installation at frontend application will look like below:

Dashboard

• Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Dashboard
• This section will display notification counts for both notified products and customers.
• This helps you easily monitor and manage all app-related subscriptions.

Notified Products

• Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Notified Products
• In this section you can see how many products subscribed with number of subscriptions.
• You can easily search record(s) with the help of filters like Product name and notification created date rage.
• You can delete unnecessary record(s) any time.
• Here, You can Export Record(s) by simply click on Export Button.

Customer Notifications

• Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Customer Notifications
• You can see all products with its subscriber email ids.
• You can identify which customer is unsubscribe which product.
• Records listed with Subscriber Email Ids, Subscribed Products, Created Date, Number of Sent Email, Notification/Customer Status and Sent Date.
• Here, You can get records by several filters like Subscriber Email, Product Name, Mail Status, Customer Status and Date Range.
• You can also export records by simply click on Export button.

Notification/Subscribe Form

• Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Notify Form Watch Video Guide Here.
• Here, you can customize product Subscribe/Notification form with Live Preview.
• You can customize Form Labels, Messages (Success Message, Error Message) and Colors (Buttons, Messages, Form and labels).

Customize Email Template

• You can manage email templates for all email notifications sent from our Instock Notification app for your customers and store admin.
• You can easily customize email with all type of feature like images, colors, tables, etc. You can put whatever you want. Here, you need to set some TOKENS listed below the editor to display content in email notification.





• In back in stock email notification, you can choose whether you want to cc the email to admin himself or not.

General Settings

Main Settings

• You can Enable/Disable the Application.
• Back In Stock emails will be sent automatically when you enable the option.
• You can set minimum inventory that will be checked before sending emails to customers.
• You can add products for which you don't want to display Notification/Subscribe form by just entering product IDs using COMMA(,) separator

Notification Settings

• You can allow mail on pre-order products when it's back in stock.
• You can control total emails that will be sent to the customers as you want.
• You can set notification limits on months after that notification will be deleted automatically.

Email Template Settings

• You can enable/disable sending subscription emails to admin.
• You can enable/disable sending subscription emails to customers.
• You can enable/disable sending back in stock emails to customer/admin.

Email Settings

• You can set from email address, cc and bcc email address and other details to attach them with email sent from Instock Notification app.
• Here, Admin Email Address will be used for sending emails to admin.
• You can also use custom smtp authentication to send emails. That will prevent mails going to your customers' spam folder.
• Please click on "Need Help ?" to read the instructions when you enable smtp.
• You can also test your custom smtp settings. Please write send-to email address then click on Test SMTP Now.

Unsubscribe Template

When you set unsubscribe link to email and you want to customize unsubscribe page then you can easily do it using this section. Watch Video Guide Here.

Check Inventory/Send Emails

1. Whenever you want to send mail just simply click on "Send Back In Stock Emails" button.

   

2. During Sending Mail, process will look like below window.
   Note: Please don't refresh or close the tab until process is complete.

   

Modify InStock Notification Shortcode

1. After modify your store domain, you need to update it for our app.
2. Go to Admin >> Apps >> InStock Notification >> Dashboard >> How to Use and you will see "Update" button just simply click on that button.

Uninstall App

There are three things that have to be done manually in your store admin:

• Uninstall the app from admin section.

  1. Go to Apps > My Apps
  

  2. Click Uninstall.

  
  

  3. The app will be removed from the My Apps section of the App Marketplace and the Apps bar in your Control Panel.

• Remove our application code and files from your store.

  Step-1:  Remove "instock" folder from your store's WebDAV section Content folder.

  Step-2:  Go to Admin >> Storefront >> Script Manager and if "inStock_application" script exists then remove it.

  

  Step-3:  You need to find following code

  • Go to Edit Theme Files >> templates >> components >> products >> card.html and find below code and remove it.

    

  • Go to Edit Theme Files >> templates >> components >> products >> product-view.html and find below code and remove it.

    

• If you Uninstall our InStock Notification App after Subscribing in PayPal then you must follow below steps:

  Step-1:  Login to your PayPal Account.

  Step-2:  Go to  Settings.

  Step-3:  Click Payments.

  Step-4:  Under "Preapproved payments", click Manage preapproved payments.

  Step-5:  Select the merchant whose agreement you want to cancel and click Cancel.

  Step-6:  Click Cancel Profile to confirm your request.
